Common Questions

Before You Visit

Do I need to know anything about Judaism?

Not a thing. Most people who walk through our door are starting fresh or reconnecting after years. We never assume background knowledge.

What should I wear?

Whatever makes you comfortable. For Shabbat, people tend to dress nicely (business casual), but there's no dress code.

Can I bring my non-Jewish spouse?

Absolutely. Your family is welcome at every event and meal.

Is it really free?

Shabbat services and kiddush lunch are always free. Classes are $25 each or $100/month unlimited. Your first class is on us.

Will it be awkward if I don't know anyone?

We've heard this from every single person who now calls L'Chaim home. You won't be the only new face, and you'll be introduced warmly.

Is L'Chaim Center Orthodox?

Our teaching is rooted in authentic Torah tradition, and we have a mechitzah during prayers. But our community includes Jews from every background. The learning is deep, the atmosphere is warm, and everyone is welcome.

Ready?

The hardest part is walking through the door. After that, you'll wonder why you waited.
